چکیده

In this paper, we report transport measurements of interlayer magnetoresistance with field parallel and perpendicular to the current direction in the organic superconductor k-(BEDT-TTF)2Cu@N(CN)2#Br. For HiJ , the isothermal magnetoresistance R(H) displays a peak effect as a function of field. While the magnetoresistance at small field can be fitted to stacked Josephson junction model, the negative magnetoresistance is not consistent with quasiparticle tunneling model with a simple mean field gap. The origin for the peak effect remains unresolved. For H'J , R(H) increases monotonically with increasing field. Large magnetoresistance for H'J is consistent with the layered structure of the organic compounds. @S0163-1829~99!03025-8#

Structural disorder and its effect on the superconducting transition temperature in the organic superconductor k-„BEDT-TTF...2Cu†N„CN...2‡Br

In this paper, we report direct evidence of a structural transition in the organic superconductor k-~BEDT-TTF!2Cu@N~CN!2#Br near 80 K and the effect of disorder on the superconducting transition temperature. By cooling the sample from above 80 K, the interlayer magnetoresistance displays a bumplike feature, which increases sharply with increasing cooling rate. The rapidly cooled sample has a mu...

Anomalous Behavior of the Thermoelectric Power in the Vicinity of the Superconducting Transition in the Organic Superconductors κ-(BEDT-TTF)2Cu(NCS)2 and κ-(BEDT-TTF)2Cu[ N(CN)2] Br

Trie in-plane thermoelectric power (TEP of trie layered orgamc superconductors ~-(BEDT-TTF)2Cu(NCS)2 and ~-(BEDT-TTF)2Cu[N(CN)2]Br bas been studied in trie vicinity of trie superconducting transition under magnetic field. Below trie transition temperature, an anomalous non-monotonic behavior of trie TEP is found in trie ~-(BEDT-TTF)2Cu(NCS)2 sait: instead of a graduai monotonic decrease, trie T...

Antiferromagnetic resonance of the organic compound k-„BEDT-TTF...2Cu†N„CN...2‡Br with deuterated BEDT-TTF

In the nonmetallic state of the organic superconductor k-~BEDT-TTF)2Cu@N(CN)2#Br synthesized with deuterated BEDT-TTF molecule, an angle-dependent electron spin resonance signal below 6–8 K was found. This is interpreted in terms of an antiferromagnetic resonance. The signal was found only when the sample was rapidly cooled, corresponding to the characteristics in that the present salt stays cl...

Superconducting fluctuations and the reduced dimensionality of the organic superconductor k-„BEDT-TTF...2Cu„NCS...2 as observed through measurements of the de Haas–van Alphen effect

We report measurements of the de Haas–van Alphen ~DHVA! effect and ac susceptibility in the layered organic superconductor k-(BEDT-TTF)2Cu(NCS)2.The amplitude of the DHVA oscillations is attenuated over a wide field range above the irreversibility line, B irr(B), below which a rigid flux lattice is formed. Thus the DHVA effect provides a unique probe of the superconducting fluctuations at high ...
